We have several opportunities for those who would like to help!

Baking

Thanks to our wonderful bakers, we have plenty of baked goods to sell on Sunday.

Theresa Melomo (tmelomo@yahoo.com) is coordinating our volunteer bakers. Please email her if you would like to bake something.

Bakers should wrap their goodies so they are ready to sell. Treats may be dropped off in advance (email texajen@gmail.com for more information), brought to Friday night's planning meeting, or brought to the South Lamar Shopping Center the day of the sale.

Sign Making & Planning

We're having a sign-making and planning meeting at the Shambhala Meditation Center on 1702 S. 5th St. at 6 PM on Friday, March 11. (Map and directions.)

Helping with the Sale

If you're willing to sell on the day of the sale, please write to texajen@gmail.com to let her know when you'd like to help. People can sign up for one-hour increments (or more than one!):

  • 8-9 for setting up,
  • 9-1 to sell,
  • 1-2 to breakdown and clean up.
Children are welcome to participate as long as they are accompanied by an adult.

Other Opportunities

If you can't bake or otherwise volunteer, you can always show your support by shopping at the sale! And if you cannot attend, we welcome your donations no matter how small.

Clothing Donations

The villagers of Arugambay need underclothes. Jennifer will be collecting donations of new, cotton underwear in all sizes—for men, women, and children—and bras for the ladies, and shipping them to Sri Lanka at the end of March. Write to texajen@gmail.com if you would like to donate underclothes.
